Chloride Domestic Water Improvement District (Chloride DWID)
***After several years, a rate increase is being considered to offset our increased costs. It would mean an additional of $4.00 to the minimum charge (from $41.00 to $45.00 before tax) and $2.00 ($22.50 before tax) for each additional 1000 gallons purchased. An invitation to a special hearing at 6pm on June 11th, 2025 is extended to all Chloride residents and CDWID customers. This hearing is a chance for residents and CDWID customers to share their opinions, thoughts and ask any questions with regards to the rate increase prior to final deliberations. Final vote on this increase will happen during the regular board meeting immediately following the hearing. If you would like to speak at this hearing, please contact the office for a Request to Speak form or feel free to download and print one from this website and submit your completed form at least 48 hours prior to the hearing. A reminder will be sent prior to the meeting by email and on facebook.***
The Chloride Domestic Water Improvement District provides water to the residents of Chloride through a six mile pipeline from the Sacramento aquifer in Golden Valley. The District is overseen by a five member volunteer board of directors of Chloride residents and funded by user fees as well as a share of the property tax collected by Mohave County.
